Performance Tours at the International Gallery

Thursdays and Saturdays, noon, within the exhibition. Tours begin at exhibition entrance. The International Gallery and Ripley Center are NOT at the National Museum of American History. Click here for Museum Maps.
Professional pianists specializing in various musical genres -- classical, jazz, traditional, gospel, and popular -- lead visitors through the exhibitions, talking about and performing on some of the historic pianos.

How are pianos maintained and tuned? What is the right way to treat a fine, historic piano? David Lamoreaux, Joyce Meekins, and Ernest Weissenborn from the Piano Technicians Guild discuss and demonstrate the fine art of piano maintenance.
