| José Cáceres has appeared throughout the United States, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Performance highlights include Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City, and the Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He has played with the National Symphony Orchestra, the American Youth Philharmonic, the Fairfax Symphony, and the Puerto Rico Symphony. His programs often feature the lesser-known contemporary Latin American composers. He received a Ford Foundation grant from the Johns Hopkins University Latin American Studies Program to further expand his knowledge of the repertoire. |

| Cáceres has appeared as guest artist with the Washington Chamber Society, the Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, the San Antonio Music Festival, the Library of Congress, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and at the Marian Anderson International Vocal Arts Competition and Festival. He performs frequently with soprano Carmen Balthrop and is also a member of the Washington Tango Trio.
José Cáceres has been desrcibed as having "first class piano technique...a rising star whose playing is exciting," by the Washington Post. Furthermore, the New Miami Herald observed his "fiery flair for Latin rhythms and colorations." Cáceres will be presenting a recital and master class on October 6 and 7, 2000, featuring the music of Venezuela and the Caribbean.
